Nature’s Path is a privately run, family business that has been committed to organics and sustainability for over 25 years, and is the number one producer of organic cereals in North America. Our goal is to be a trusted name for quality organic foods in every home – socially responsible, environmentally sustainable and financially viable.
All of Nature’s Path’s products are USDA certified organic, grown using a wholesome process using non-chemical agriculture. All of the ingredients in our products are grown and produced without any synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides and GMOs. We believe organic foods are healthier for both our customers and the environment because they reduce the overall exposure to toxic chemicals and provide the foundation for healthy crops and a livelihood for good stewards of the land.
Products include cereals, baking ingredients, granola, bars and cookies, bread, pastries and more.
Nature’s Path feels that the potential danger from GMOs to the environment, to human health and to organic farmers and producers is too vast to ignore and we have a strict non-GMO policy (encompassing all genetically modified products including those from cloned animals) for our products and packaging.
We are founding members of the Non-GMO Project, a non-profit organization created by industry leaders to offer consumers a consistent choice for organic and natural products that are produced without genetic engineering or recombinant DNA technologies. Our products have passed a rigorous, independent verification process and bear the Non-GMO Project Verified Seal. This seal lets consumers know Nature’s Path products are the best choices in order to avoid GMOs.

Organic. That just means it’s made in nature, right? Well, not exactly. We talk a lot about being organic, but it’s more than just a matter of being “natural” or not. Organic is a way of growing food that has a profound effect on our bodies and our planet. And it’s the way we’ve been growing food for a long, long time.
“Organic” describes a philosophy of working within the laws and systems existing in nature to achieve a healthy, living soil and a sustainable environment. Through the use of compost, manure, cover crops, crop rotations, and other natural methods, natural microbial life in the soil is helped to thrive.
This in turn can improve the health and disease resistance of the plants that grow there, without the use of pesticides, chemicals or genetically modified seed.
Organic has benefits
Organic agriculture is easier on the planet. When the soil is teeming with microbial life, it becomes the perfect medium in which to grow food. That means, during the lifecycle of an organic crop, no agro-chemicals are released into the air and groundwater. Then there’s the question of personal preferences. Many people simply don’t want pesticide residues in their diet. And lots of folks think organic strawberries taste better (of course they do)!
What is “certified” organic?
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), through the National Organic Program (NOP) has established a uniform set of production methods for growing and processing organic food. If farmers and manufacturers meet these standards, which include annual on-site inspections by third-party inspectors, their crops or food are certified to be organic. If a food product has between 95% to 100% organic content, it may be called organic and the USDA/NOP Organic seal may be used on the package.
