Taste Magazine South AfricaLatest Issue | 0 Comments
We’re starting 2014 on a high because TASTE ended last year with some amazing wins that reaffirm our reputation as a truly world-class magazine.
At the MPASA Pica Awards in Johannesburg we scooped Customer Magazine of the Year and Retail and Consumer Goods Customer Magazine of the Year, and we were highly commended for Visual Production of the Year and Best Cover. Then came accolades at the Pearl Awards in New York, where we won gold for Best Integrated Print and Web Programme and bronze for Overall Design. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, we received more news from the Folio Awards in New York, where we walked off with Eddie Awards in the Content Marketing category for Best Issue, Best Overall Use of Social Media and an Honourable Mention for Best Website, plus an Ozzie Award for Best Overall Design.
In other exciting news, in 2014 Woolworths and TASTE are embarking on a flavour journey and we invite you to join us in exploring a variety of taste experiences. In this issue, immerse yourself in Abigail Donnelly's Flavour of the Month with her delicious recipes using nectarines, peaches and apricots. Our next issue will include details on how you can join the Woolworths flavour community.
Speaking of flavour inspiration, I’m investing in Marie Viljoen’s new book 66 Square Feet: A Delicious Life, based on her food blog, 66 Square Feet. She was something of a trendsetter when she started a balcony garden in Brooklyn, New York, back in 2007. Each chapter is dedicated to a specific month, offering gardening advice and advising what to harvest to create inspiring dishes. That’s the whole year’s cooking sorted!
Lastly, don't miss our showstopping strawberry ice-cream sandwich – a grand finale to any meal. I hope your 2014 is brilliant, filled with inspiration for many delicious meals, good health and lots of time to experiment in your own garden.
