CELEBRATE SAKE ‘THE DRINKS OF THE GODS’ ON WORLD SAKE DAY
Forget Cinco de Mayo and St. Patty’s Day…
There is a new drinking holiday in town: World Sake Day, celebrated on October 1st.
Referred to as “The Drink of the Gods,” with its distinct taste, mystique and allure, sake has newly reached beyond the menus of Japanese restaurants and is now being enjoyed privately in homes, as well as in creative cocktails throughout the country.
As sake is quickly taking a grasp on the American cocktail culture, yet there are still many misconceptions about the beverage (for example: sake should only be served hot – premium sake should be enjoyed chilled in a wine glass, like a fine white wine.)
For World Sake Day 2014, TY KU – a Premium Sake & Asian Spirits Company – is initiating a fun and interactive social media campaign hosted on the TY KU Sake - World Sake Day website. Sake enthusiasts are encouraged to tweet, instagram and email TY KU Sake photos with TY KU Sake using the hash tag #WorldSakeDay to be entered for the chance to win daily prizes – and on October 2nd a grand prize winner will be announced, a Caribbean cruise for two on a Norwegian Cruise Line!
