A refreshingly new and modern interpretation of floral design

In the field of floral dinnerware Villeroy & Boch are unchallenged in their core competence as experts in interpreting the world of flowers.

Convincing proof is provided by a long tradition of successful ranges: starting with the classic Wildrose, progressing to bestsellers like French Garden or Flora and on to contemporary fashions such as Green Garland, Flower Dreams and Farmhouse Touch Blueflowers, to name but a few examples.

The brand manufacturer has now extended their product portfolio to include another attractive country style dinnerware series. Mariefleur is not a classical interpretation of the floral theme, but is rather refreshingly new and modern.

Strong, intense and gaudy colours such as pink, light green and sunny yellow suggest youth and modernity, but are nonetheless firmly rooted in the country style. Mariefleur’s creative and colourful flower designs are ideal for all those who love a modern country look. The fine meadow background interacts with bright flowers that seem to grow over the edges of the dishes to bring summery images of a colourful and scented garden to the table. Harmonious Dinnerware Forms Set A Restrained Elegant Tone

Mariefleur has been transposed on to the well-known New Cottage forms. New Cottage takes the harmonising characteristics of nature as a focus while incorporating contemporary lifestyle themes and achieving a sense of lightness in design. The thin body of the dinnerware enhances the feeling of delicacy, an impression further heightened by the fine and intricate rendering of the floral designs. The decoration differs slightly between the individual products, so that no one flower motif is identical to the next. All dinnerware forms coordinate harmoniously with each another. The flowing transition from base to rim of the flatware is reminiscent of the form of a cup. The range includes both round and oval breakfast plates, dinner plates and soup bowls, while cups and saucers are only available in the round design. Particularly striking are the leaf-like handles of the hollowware.

The individual items of the Mariefleur selection of premium porcelain coffee and dinnerware can be simply and effectively mixed and matched with one another. Lithographic techniques are used in the decoration and all items are microwave and dishwasher safe. Coordinating articles are available in the gourmet Serve Salad range, where the emphasis is on healthy eating.

New Cottage Cutlery – Light And Strong

New Cottage provides a contemporary interpretation of a classic English cutlery. The curved pistol grip is given a modern touch, creating cutlery that is a joy both to hold and to behold.

The delicate, narrow handles widen substantially at the base, creating a soft, somewhat organic form that feels both elegant and romantic. All cutlery items including the hollow-handled knives are forged from polished 18/10 stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. Sets of 24 or 30 pieces are available.

New Cottage Glass – Glassware With Stylised Leaf Forms And Structures

The New Cottage glassware range coordinates perfectly with Mariefleur, but also with many other country style series. This crystal glassware with relief decoration compliments the modern impression of the dinnerware.

The design plays with stylised leaf forms and structures, achieving a clear and natural look with soft contours. The solid, faintly rose-coloured stems of the glasses enhance their quality without detracting from the lightness of the design. The glasses are dishwasher safe.

Amazonia Dinnerware: Inspired By The Natural World Of The Amazon

For the extravagant porcelain collection Amazonia, Villeroy & Boch has drawn inspiration from the colourful natural world of the Amazon.

Originally conceived as a high quality gift article series of the finest premium bone porcelain, Amazonia has proved so popular that it has now been extended to create a complete dinnerware collection. To this end, the existing exotic motifs have been transferred to further dinnerware items from the Modern Grace collection.

The colourful hummingbirds and Maracuja butterflies, mesmerizingly blue passion flowers, yellow orchids and red blossoms of the calliandra are rendered with such vivid colour and light that they seem almost three-dimensional. The Amazonia décor is fine and delicate with touches of gold providing an additional note of quality.

Opulent bowls in the form of stylised leaves are available in three different sizes and are certain to catch the eye on any table, they also make perfect gift articles. The existing Amazonia collection has been extended to include 16 new articles: a serving platter available in two different sizes, a soup bowl, a side- or desert-dish, a dip bowl, and an oval dish in three sizes. There is also a new teacup and a new coffee cup, each with a saucer, a handled mug, a teapot, a sugar bowl and a milk jug. This colourful quality collection is also very effective when combined with the classically white Modern Grace dinnerware.
